Harvesting Light
Harvesting Light is a VR journey following photons from their origins in the sun, passing through the earth’s atmosphere and culminating in the activation of a quantum solar cell. Conceived and created in collaboration with Professor Richard Jones FRS, Dr Andrew Parnell and Dr Mike Weir for The Universiity of Sheffield Festival of the Mind 2020.
The Virtual Ark
During the Covid-19 pandemic I worked with writer/illustrator Rowena Sommerville and The Frozen Ark biobank to create a 'Virtual Ark' containing endangered species. The Ark features animal sculptures and poetry created during online workshops and in East Lincolnshire primary schools.
Life Game : Eulogies
I worked with filmmaker Jon Harrison, Professor David Edwards and conservation scientists from The University of Sheffield School of Biosciences, producing five ‘future eulogies’ for endangered species. A commission for Festival of the Mind 2022, ‘Eulogies' was first exhibited in ‘Futurecade’ at Millennium Gallery Sheffield from 15-25 September 2022.
